Alongside her psychotherapy practice, Stephanie has spent twenty years as a professional dancer. She brings the skills developed through this career — including rigour, creativity, empathy, and collaboration — into her therapeutic work. Stephanie practises as an integrative, non-directive, humanistic therapist, with a particular interest in how trauma is held in the body. Her work is informed by body awareness and somatic approaches that centre the client’s lived, physical experience within the therapy room.

Stephanie is passionate about making accessible to others the benefits she has experienced through her own therapeutic journey, including increased self-awareness, insight, resilience, and agency.

Stephanie has worked extensively with clients presenting with domestic violence, bereavement and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, suicidal ideation, identity-related issues, and chronic pain. Stephanie is committed to creating a non-judgemental, compassionate space in which clients can explore both the conscious and unconscious, including experiences that may feel difficult to articulate. For Stephanie, therapy is a process that supports clients to meet themselves honestly and to take responsibility for their lives, at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

Stephanie works in a hybrid format, offering both online sessions and in-person therapy at Talk Therapy, Terenure.

She believes in a proactive and integrative approach to mental health — one that not only alleviates existing symptoms but also supports long-term wellbeing and a sustained sense of purpose and wellness.

About therapy:

Therapy is a collaborative process that unfolds in response to the needs of the client. Clients are welcome to arrive with as much or as little direction as they wish, and sessions can be exploratory or more focused, depending on individual preference. Stephanie typically recommends contracting for an initial block of six sessions, after which continuation is guided by the client’s discernment.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once weekly. Confidentiality is a foundational principle of the therapeutic relationship. Everything shared in the therapy room remains confidential, except in specific circumstances where there is a serious risk to the client’s safety or the safety of others.
